Redesigning Your Bathroom
In our younger days, many of us can remember Sunday night being bath night so a right chore when we were kids especially with a tin bath for those a little older than others.
Nowadays of course things are far simpler with virtually every home containing its own bathroom. Taking longer can be an issue and soon found out by whoever cleans the bathroom in your home. It is really not worth spending a great deal of money maintaining your bathroom but just to look after it so that it does the job it is intended for.
If you have the skill to install your own bathroom then do make sure to buy quality items to reduce the need to replace parts in years to come as well as being able to clean using strong detergents without fading. Removing algae and dirt is much easier when using bathroom tiles rather than a painted wall.
That the tiles arranged, what about the bath?. Decision making can be quite difficult as the choice available is so large. A bath can be produced in many different materials ranging from Cast Iron, Stone Resin and Acrylic. Each of them have their pros and cons. Cast iron is strong but very heavy and the latter is important if you are building your own bathroom. Steel baths are also strong but unfortunately the hot water may cool down quicker than other types of material. For great strength, Stone Resin can be used but costs quite a bit. For the cost, Acrylic is very good but when used for a bath it can be weak if you want to stand it in and have a hollow sound.
When purchasing a bathroom, the most common situation is to buy a complete bathroom so includes a basin, toilet, bath and cupboards.
If you are not intending on a complete suite then purchasing a sink may like the bath give you a few moments of difficult decision making.
Price options vary with the huge amount of options available.
Be sure to include taps if you are on a tight budget as their price can add several pounds to the final cost.
You need to consider whether you want a stainless steel sink or perhaps stone.
Have a think what the best uses of it will be.
In the family area it is likely to be used for shaving, washing and the bugbear to all woman hair washing especially by the male occupants
Ensure that enough space is available around the area in which the sink will stand also that there is ample room for bending over and performing your ablutions.
Finally, as far as the large items are concerned is the toilet itself unless a bidet is on your shopping list. Once again there are a multitude of choices to be made but why not just stick to a straight forward bowl that is also easy to fit yourself. Following the instructions you should find it reasonably easy to install your own bowl. Make sure you invest in a toilet seat as most toilets do not come with one as standard.
If you do not know some aspects of the installation then employing a proffesional can be much better in the longrun.
A great number of us are destined not to do DIY so safer to employee an expert.
