Getting The Most Out Of Bath Times
There’s little better than a long relaxing soak in a pristine bathroom. So making the most of your bath time indulgences is a worthwhile task to help you reduce the daily stress load. Before you start, have a good clear up in the bathroom as nothing will spoil the mood more that old grime or the usual half-empty bottles and stinky flannels that may be there when you are just washing to simply get clean. If you have a shower curtain, the chances are it probably needs a wash so do that now or at least take it down or tuck it out of the way, give bath screens a clean to get off any old watermarks.
Make sure that any bathroom accessories you would like are within easy reach so you won’t have to climb out of your bath when you’re half-done to fetch them. Make sure the lighting is set to your preferred level, using a non direct source such as a lighted mirror or tea candles is often very effective. When selecting music, choose something soothing at a medium volume so that it isn’t distracting or causing a disturbance to others if you are not alone in the house or sound is likely to carry.
Add whatever bath salts, essences or oils that you want whilst the taps are running, but make sure that if your bath uses hydrotherapy jets that you use a low-foaming variety or only add a small amount. Otherwise the jets will do a great job of turning your bathroom into a giant cube of foam bubbles, which may be fun but will take a lot of clearing up.
One last thing before you enjoy your well-earned bath, give a quick wipe down to any other surfaces in the bathroom that look like they need a clean. You don’t want the atmosphere spoiled by having to use dirty basins or smeared mirrors, so take a quick moment to give these a wipe down now. Once you sink into your bath, you won’t have any worries about giving things a clean that you have spotted, and you can finish your bath relaxed and stress-free.
